전기전산트랙 금종수군이 2015학년 1학기 학사논문연구(지도교수: 남호정 교수)에서 수행한 연구결과가 ACM International Workshop on Data and Text Mining in Bioinformatics 국제학회에서 우수논문으로 채택되어 국제저널 BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making 에 게재 승인되었다. 금종수 군은 대규모의 약물 빅데이터를 이용한 구조유사성 분석을 통하여 유사한 구조를 갖는 약물은 유사한 약물표적에 작용한다는 기존 가설을 이용하여 천연물 신약화합물이 반응할 수 있는 표적 단백질을 예측하는 연구를 수행하였다. 금종수 군은 정보통신공학부 Computational Systems Biology Lab (지도교수: 남호정 교수, https://sites.google.com/site/comsysbiolab)에 석사과정으로 진학하여 후속연구를 수행할 계획이다.
